What is perinatal mental health?

‘Perinatal’ is the Latin for ‘around birth’. So when we talk about perinatal mental health, we’re referring to mental health during pregnancy and the first year after birth. Bluebell actually goes a little further: we support parents for up to two years after their child is born.
