If you’ve come to this page, chances are you’re thinking about fundraising for us. Thank you so much!
Every penny you raise will go directly towards our vital work with parents in Bristol, Bath, Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Devon.
But fundraising isn’t just about raising money and awareness. It’s also about you.
It’s your chance to have some fun, gain some skills or, if you’re taking on a big challenge, push yourself out of your comfort zone. And if you’ve experienced perinatal mental health difficulties yourself, fundraising can be a real celebration of your recovery – a chance to reflect on how far you’ve come.
Need some fundraising inspiration? You could try -
Fundraising with your community
Host a film night in your local hall
Get your neighbours together for a street party
Organise a bake-off at work
Fundraising with your family and friends
Invite friends over for a cuppa, cake and a clothes swap
Host a quiz or games night
Ask for donations instead of gifts on your birthday
Setting yourself a personal challenge
Walk 10,000 steps a day for 10 days
Give something up for a month – chocolate, booze, your car…
Join a bike ride or run a marathon - or half marathon, 10k or 5k – we’ll be impressed either way. (Read Sean's story here)
Walk 10k in a dinosaur suit (yes, some lovely supporters actually did this, so you don’t have to! Read their story here)
Launch your fundraising page
To get started, we recommend you set up a fundraising page with Just Giving. There are several charities on there with ‘Bluebell’ in the name, so be sure to link your page to the right one! Do try to personalise your page as much as possible and share it as widely as you can.
We’re here to help
We’ll support you with your fundraising all the way. We can provide Bluebell leaflets and promote your fundraiser on social media. We’ll even try to come along and speak at your event if you’d like us to.
So if you’re planning to fundraise for us, do get in touch and let us know. Email us at hello@bluebellcare.org or call us on 0117 922 0746.
